Meet Anna at Osprey Marketing

Meet Anna Hallen, the founder and owner of Osprey Marketing. She started Osprey in in 2017 after having been home with her two boys for nine years. Nine years is a long time, and she had had a lot of time to think about her next step. The thought of starting a marketing consulting company developed from the realization that she loves to work with different types of companies in different industries. The diversity in products and services makes marketing more interesting and fun, and it breeds creativity and new ideas.
Born and raised in Sweden, Anna took the step in 1996 to come to Boston, MA to get her Master’s in Communications Management at Simmons College. The plan was to do it in a year, then go back and start a career in Sweden. It didn’t quite happen that way!
She met her now ex-husband Eric and ended up starting her career in Boston. Her first positions were as marketing manager then international marketing manager at two tech start-ups. She has also held marketing positions in the radio industry and commercial real estate. The Osprey business is her current focus, and she’s also volunteering her marketing expertise to a bullying prevention organization.
Anna is an avid skier, hiker and mountain biker and would always rather be outside than inside. Something her two boys, 9 and 12, have also adopted. Their two puppies, Elsa and Lily, gladly follow! She played the cello until she moved to London when she was 19; something she’d like to pick up again. Anna has lived in a few different places in the U.S., but Colorado is the only state that has felt like home so far, so unless she moves back to Sweden, she’s here to stay!
